What is Respite care?
Respite care is a form of care that provides temporary relief for a primary caregiver, enabling them to take a much-needed break from the demands of care giving a sick, aging, or disabled family member or loved one.
Caremaid provides respite care in your own home. Whether it’s for just a few hours a week or an extended vacation, our respite care can help ease the burden of family care giving and help to relieve stress, restore your energy, and promote balance in your life. It can also prevent you from becoming exhausted, isolated, or even burned out. Respite care can benefit the person you’re caring for, too, providing them with variety, stimulation, and a welcome change of routine.
What forms of Respite care do we provide?
We provide both visiting and live-in respite care.
Live-in care: This is where a Caremaid carer lives in your house, offering support and company day and night.
Visiting care: This is provided if you need some extra support for a just a few hours each day or each week.
Caremaid can also provide short-term respite care if you have to attend a family emergency or other commitments. We ensure that your loved one always has someone there to help them if you’re not around. With our expert carer assessments in place, we are able to provide the highest quality respite care breaks to your friends and family.
